Outbreak: Extra Expense - The Vaccine for Contagion Risks

Robert W Schmidt & Company e-Newsletter

Workplace closure due to contagion outbreak is not the time to learn about the "grey areas" in your insurance program. Think about the spreading impact of the H1N1/Swine Flu, E. Coli, Salmonella, Staph Infections, Tuberculosis, and Hepatitis. Our product provides businesses with a per day payment to be used at the insured's discretion if the workplace is closed by a public health official for a covered contagion.

Outbreak coverage IS NOT business interruption insurance, which requires a policy holder to demonstrate loss of revenue. Proof of suspension of a scheduled location by a public or government official is all that is necessary to make a claim, making this coverage valuable in the critical first hours of an event.

Outbreak Extra Expense Coverage is available to a wide variety of industry groups including but not limited to - healthcare, education, hospitality, real estate and food service.

Coverage is available in limits of $5,000 -$50,000 per day for a maximum of 30 days. Minimum premiums start at $1,250. Policy has broad wording of covered contagions. Coverage includes workplace violence, mold and fungus illness. The insured controls the use of funds.

Lawyers Professional Liability - Case Closed

Robert W Schmidt & Company e-Newsletter

Lawyers are exposed to contentious situations daily. In this environment, firms with a claim history or disciplinary proceedings cannot afford to be without professional liability coverage any more than the next firm can.

Do you have an attorney or firm needing coverage so that they can stay focused on their clients' litigation? Looking for a stable, experienced market? Contact us for an application today.

We can write solo proprietorships, intellectual property firms, class action firms, and even firms with a claims history.

Policy includes disciplinary proceedings coverage and coverage for claims arising from state bar-related activities. A deductible credit applies for claims settled prior to litigation or at mediation.
